The workshop on “Konzepte und Narrative
der Biodiversität: Naturphilosophische und umweltethische Zugänge zu einem Schlüsselbegriff der Moderne” promises to look at the philosophical underpinnings and applications of biodiversity.
With a focus on ‘Naturphilosophie’ – or that period when science and philosophy were not yet separated. This stitching of natural science and natural philosophy — philosophizing about and from nature, is indeed an important question in our current sociological zeitgeist. How to make sense of values and facts? And how they interact?
